Canadian authorities have detained an Air Canada passenger who allegedly assaulted a feminine flier as she was sleeping through an early early morning flight on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Air Canada confirmed to CTV News that a passenger on AC151 “became unruly” on a flight from Toronto to Vancouver.
On landing, the Richmond Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) escorted a 39-12 months-previous guy off the plane soon after a feminine passenger alleged that a guy experienced inappropriately touched her when she was asleep.
“The alleged suspect, a 39-12 months-previous Pakistani nationwide, was noticed inappropriately touching a feminine passenger as she slept,” Cpl. Dennis Hwang told CTV by way of electronic mail.
A witness told CTV News that she “overheard crew associates striving to comfort the woman” soon after the alleged incident and a flight attendant apologized.
Richmond RCMP say the investigation is at this time underway, with assistance from the airline and Vancouver Worldwide Airport. Air Canada would not give additional facts to CTV News or clarify the airline’s coverage on situations of alleged inflight assault.
